The 10 Worst Best Robotic Mop And Vacuum Fails Of All Time Could Have Been Prevented

Best Robotic Mop and Vacuum Combos

The majority of robot vacuum-mop combinations can be customised using a specialized application. You can save maps of your home and set up cleaning schedules and select the mopping mode you prefer. They also allow you to alter suction power and fine-tune the amount of water and the scrubbing action of your mop.

A mapping function helps your robot navigate around rooms. A feature for avoiding obstacles will stop it from running into furniture, wires or other toys. These are essential features for my house, stuffed with toys that are scattered about.

1. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the company’s flagship mop and vacuum, which is why it naturally comes with a host of features. It can sweep and mop simultaneously, and lift its brushes or mop pads so that soft surfaces don’t get too wet. It also can detect and avoid obstacles, with the ability to spot pets plants, a variety of small objects.

The maximum suction power is 6 000 pascals. This is more than any robot vacuum we have test to date. It is also equipped with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation that tracks its location, preventing it getting stuck on a surface.

Its mopping functionality is also impressive and features the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply constant pressure of over 6 Newtons to the mop pad for a deep clean. It also features an automatic mop lifting mechanism, which will lift the pad when it transitions from tile to laminate, hardwood to carpet and rugs to avoid the possibility of soaking these soft surfaces.

The S8 Pro Ultra also has self-washing, and self-drying features. The pad can be washed and then dried with the dock and the dust container is automatically empty and returned to it. This means that you can set it and forget it, only needing to clean the dust bag and refill the water tank every now and then.

All this is powered by a lithium-ion battery of 5,200mAh. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its usual mop- and vac-settings for approximately 160 minutes before it began to lose power, and then returned to its base to recharge. This isn’t far off from the 180 minutes that Roborock claims, robotvacuummops and is on the same level as other hybrids I’ve tried.

It’s a well-rounded, capable product. The only issue is that it’s expensive. However, its sheer abundance of features makes it a appealing option for anyone who wants to ditch their old stick vacuum and mop. We highly recommend this model for those who can afford its price.

2. Dreametech L10S Ultra

The Dreametech L10S Ultra is a top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop combination. The price is justified by the robust features, such as a huge vacuuming capability, as well as two gyrating mop heads. It also comes with a smart, app-enabled controller and a mighty obstacle avoidance technology.

The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combinations out there at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my testing it was able to perform very well in all areas of the house, removing 98.4% of debris on all floors and managing to lift long hair with no knots. The mops were also great and produced excellent cleaning results with less effort than most mid-range models due to their rotational motion as well as an incredibly strong cleaning solution.

The docking station is the main selling aspect of the L10S Ultra. It’s multifunctional and modern. The docking station emptys the trash bin into a bag for dirt, fills up the tank with water to use to mop and also dry your mop pads. It features a real-time risk detection system, and its sophisticated controls let you schedule regular cleaning sessions.

The L10S Ultra does not offer the best performance in removing carpet debris in comparison to the other hybrid vacuum mop I tried. Additionally, its mops aren’t as capable at scrubbing away tough stains like those in the top Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

Despite the L10S Ultra’s high-end features, it requires regular maintenance. To prevent the growth of mildew or unpleasant smells, the base station dustbag, water, and tanks must be cleaned, emptied and dried regularly. It is also important to note that the mop pads which are bought separately will need to be replaced periodically too.

I would recommend the L10S Ultra to anyone with the funds. If you’re on a budget, I would suggest a more rudimentary model that allows you to save money while still enjoying the convenience of hands-free cleaning at home. Even even if the L10S Ultra was the best vacuum and robotic mop you could find but its cost and constant maintenance will make it more of a want than need.

3. Eufy S1 Pro

If you’re looking for a robotic mop and vacuum that can clean up dust and dirt on your floors while taking care of wet mess then take a look at the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop combo is a mighty 8,000 Pa suction power. It also has a huge battery capacity that can be used for both vacuuming as well as mowing. And it is equipped with a top-notch obstacle-avoidance system. It has a roller-mop that cleans itself, making it stand out from models which require you to return to the base station to wash off the mop pad.

The S1 Pro has a unique mopping system that is a departure from the spinning discs and microfibre pads of other robots. The roller is almost full width of the bot and is constantly supplied with clean, ozonated water from its dock. The roller scrubs the floor while taking in dirt. Dry debris is removed using the side brushes, or swept away into the front collision bumper. The S1 Pro then takes the mop water into its base station, where it is sucked up by the tank’s heating elements and is poured into a larger storage bin. The onboard tank holds a decent amount of water, and it can manage about a dozen mopping sessions before going dry.

Like many robotic vacuums and mop sets, the S1 Pro is ready to take it out of the box. The S1 Pro will need to be refilled with clean water. This is easily accomplished in the cleaning dock. You can also add cleaning solution to the dock, in case you want to have the option of using your own cleaner. If you decide to select this option, you’ll need to purchase the branded cleaning solution from Eufy which is more expensive than other robot brands that permit you to use your personal choice of cleaners.

As with most robots, the S1 Pro did well in navigation efficiency and coverage evaluations. It was fast to map a room and it easily navigated around furniture. It sat on carpets with larger piles a couple of times during my tests. However this could be improved by re-updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for affordable prices.

4. Roborock Qrevo

The Qrevo is Roborock’s entry-level mop and vacuum cleaner, but it still has some impressive features. The multi-function dock emptys the robot’s dirtbag, and refills its water tanks, washing and sanitizing the mop pads as they go. The mopping system is capable of cleaning up a significant portion of an area before it needs to return to its dock, and the vacuum’s extreme suction is capable of removing dirt and pet hair on carpets.

The application that runs this appliance is complex, with a broad choice of options for customizing the cleaning process. You can manually clean the entire area mapped by this device or choose individual rooms, an expandable zone or a routine you’ve developed. There are many mopping options, including SmartPlan -an algorithm that makes use of the sensors on the mops to find the most efficient method to clean your home as it maps the area.

The Qrevo performed well in our tests, as all Roborock models we’ve tested. Its navigation system is efficient in locating rooms quickly and cleaning in a neat way. The default pathing setting does a great job of covering a room, leaving no gaps or missing areas. Reactive Tech’s hazard avoidance works well, but it’s not as sophisticated as color camera systems on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect hazards such as thick carpets, but it may not always detect small things like rug tassels or electrical wires.

The most obvious flaw with this machine is the lack of a mop-after-vacuum option, which could be an issue for those who do a lot of vacuuming before cleaning with their robot. There’s a simple solution: the app has an option that lets you “clean up”, at the end of every vacuuming session. You can use the vacuum’s mopping capabilities to remove the dust and dirt that were left behind after vacuuming. This is a nice feature that lets this vacuum to clean up a bit better than its competitors with lower prices.
