Global Labour Leaders Seal 31 Agreements To Boost Jobs, Training Opportunities

The Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC), has witnessed the signing of 31 contracts and Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) in between various entities, intending to provide countless training opportunities and jobs for the global labor force. This agreement was signed at the 2nd edition of the GLMC 2025, launched in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by His Ahmad Bin Salman Alrajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, along with 40 labour ministers. According to the ministers, these efforts will focus on certifying varied groups, such as new graduates, ladies, and individuals with disabilities, for ideal employment through specialised training programmes, consisting of development, educational initiatives, job management preparation, and knowledge-sharing collaborations
Data from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), approximately 67 million young individuals are currently out of work, and almost 20 percent of people aged 15 to 54 are either employed or engaged in education, institutions, or training programmes. These data have also revealed that nearly 40 percent of companies report problems in filling jobs due to an inequality in between workforce abilities and labour market needs, with youth joblessness going beyond 30 percent in some areas internationally. Related News

Highlighting the significance of these agreements, Alrajhi stated “These figures highlight the urgent need to develop thorough methods to attend to these common challenges effectively.” “Transforming them into opportunities, ultimately we can all interact to ensure the prosperity of our economies, communities, and workforces.” The minister also noted that the contracts focus on boosting functional efficiency, promoting innovation, and driving value production in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. Key entities associated with these agreements include the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), job the International Labour Organization (ILO), Takamol Holding, INSEAD, UiPath, Bella Vista Institute of College, the Saudi Logistics Academy, the Ministry of Tourism, and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
The GLMC’s MOU will see numerous notable cooperations emerged. INSEAD will supply academic services, while partnerships with Space Faculty and ProFun will explore development and understanding sharing. Bella Vista Institute and the Saudi Logistics Academy will deliver tailored training programmes focused on leadership development and capacity structure. The Ministry of Tourism inked MoUs with Marriott Hotels and Arabian Airports to develop workforce credentials and training initiatives. Princess Nourah University partnered with SEA Ventures to promote entrepreneurship advancement. A significant advancement is the establishment of the Kaspersky Knowledge Transfer Centre, developed to advance cybersecurity skills amongst students and the labor force, among others. Share
